"Unity starts with one person, not with those who wait on others. It starts with everyone of us; every individual. And with that movement, comes hope and liberty. As said, if everyone comes together, united, our force only gets stronger. Furthermore, if our collective strength come with determination and persistence, our movement will be rewarded with a country/ land, independence, and rights."

"...Also, the future of Oromiyaa and the fate of our people is contingent on the involvement of the youth moving forward. We cannot have grandfathers still chair of organizations and youth sidelined as spectators. The youth must play decisive roles and take on leaderships. So, I say to Oromo organization leaders with all due respect give youth opportunity and give up the titles."

"There was a time when I was in Oromia, when saying you were Oromo was a almost a crime and your Oromumma had to be hidden. During that time people would not say they were Oromo. When Oromo’s were asked who we were, they would say we are ‘Q0ttu’, we are Muslims, we are Christians, we are ‘Galla’s’. However, I was taught about my identity." Click on the link for full story.

"..Always be proud of who you are/ represent everywhere you go because the past generations fought so hard for us to freely continue to practice, teach, and inherit our culture. Those individuals placed their lives on the line and it was at the expense of their life and people. I also want to say let's not follow the faults of our parents, instead, let's teach them to be united and stay connected. What brings us together is unity, that's the only way to succeed."
